trying new things

when on a diet or even not on one u can get in a rut of eating the same things over and over.  i am thinking the whole diet could last a little longer and become more of that lifestyle change we hear so much about by keeping things interesting.  new found loves spice rubbed salmon, lemon garlic spinach and kale chips.  first weigh in and measurements with loss is Monday and I have been pushing myself a little harder on the treadmill.  following the lose a size in 14 days exercise plan.  we'll see how this goes!!

fluctuation

egg, oatmeal with blueberries, subway club (no cheese or condiments) apple slices, almond puffed rice and raisin mix, salmon pouch x 2.  30 min treadmill and i gained .8 lbs.  ugh

finally solid food again

it never felt so good to eat something solid again.  breakfast was vanilla greek yogurt with banana flaxseed and cinnamon and an egg.  lunch was shrimp and some it works thermogenics soup.  i had an apple, handful of grapes and several almonds for snacks.  thermogenics soup, half an avocado, spoonful of almond butter with a square of dark chocolate for supper.  a glass of skim milk as well.  we went to the bar and i drank water all night.  i never got any intended exercise in but still lost weight again.  so far so good!!

3day detox done

well this evening i finished the last smoothie...thank goodness!!  i revamped the lunch one for today and have to admit it was the first day i felt hungry.  im so ready for some solid food.  im also excited about weighing tomorrow.  i made a thermogenics soup that i got the recipe off of the it works website for lunch tomorrow. hopefully its good!!  i did 15 min of stairs at lunch today, 30 min on the treadmill this evening and some ab exercises.  big challenge coming up this weekend.

yuck!

note go self...google some reviews before trying any new "Recipes" in whatever plan you are about to do.  Dr Oz's 3day detox lunch smoothie is disgusting!!  It was thick enough you had to eat it with a spoon.  There was no way I could have eaten all of it either.  I ended up taking half for lunch on Day 2.  On a brighter note I am down 2 pounds already.  I did some arm exercises last night to top off my 30 min of cardio.  Today during lunch I took 15 min to just go up and down 3 flights of stairs.  My legs were on fire and when I returned to work any time I tried to stand my legs would tremble!!  I'm a little tired tonight, but I am going to get my 30 min walk in and soak in the epson salt/lavendar bath.  Good times!!

GETTING STARTED

The new year has begun and so here we go.  I weighed and measured and know how much work I have to do.  I took the It Works thermogenics tablets this morning with my breakfast smoothie from the Dr. Oz 3 day detox program.I  am also using the probiotic he recommends and chia seeds for omega 3.  Im shooting for half my body weight in water daily.  I am pretty out of shape so Im easing into the exercise.  I have one 10 min cardio in and am shooting      for 30 min a day. I am going to do this!!

For those of us who make resolutions and dont stick to them, this is my attempt to be held accountable.  In the past year i have gained around 50 pounds.  My clothes dont fit and I feel miserable.  Standing 5'3", I dont have a lot of room to be packing on these pounds.  My belly disgusts me and I am ready to make a change.                                                                                  I have became a loyal customer with the It Works program and thats what I am going to start off with to hopefully get a jumpstart on losing some pounds and inches.  My boyfriend bought me the Ninja blender for Christmas.  I have been researching all kinds of healthy recipes for smoothies and easy exercises to do at home.  I also have a membership to Anytime fitness so I will be utilizing that for some strength training.                                                                 My plan is to make a lifestyle change and maybe in the process influence some others to do the same.
